CEC Centron Energy Corporation, Inc. announced that it has developed a low-emission diesel fuel additive designed for use in commercial service diesel engines. The development has been conducted in cooperation with a large overnight delivery US firm. The new fuel additive Centron is aimed at reducing NOx emissions and particulate emissions from the exhaust gas. CEC said the Centron technology produces stable emissions for all current regulations over the next 10 years.
Centron tests indicate that, when compared to commercial diesel fuel, Centron Alpha Fuel Additives reduces two of the most critical emissions from compression ignition engines -- nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate (PM). Centron Alpha Fuel Additives reduces all harmful emissions across the exhaust spectrum as follows:
| Carbon monoxide | CO | 89.8% |
| Hydrocarbon | HC | 86.1% |
| Nitrogen oxides | N0x | 60% |
| Particulate matter | PM | 39.6% |
Centron Alpha Fuel Additives can be used in older and newer diesel engines and requires no modification to fuel systems or engine hardware.
Centron Alpha Fuel Additives products are currently being used in many applications in hundreds of vehicles throughout the United States. Additional market evaluations of Centron Alpha Fuel Additives will take place in Central and South America in the coming months. If the evaluations are concluded successfully, the Centron Alpha Fuel Additives will be offered commercially by CEC to fuel marketers and distributors in emission-sensitive regional areas, such as California.
CEC is the manufacture of Centron Fuels and Centron Alpha Fuel Additives. Centron outperforms all other diesel fuel additives in Nox reduction and across the exhaust emissions spectrum.
